A CAMERA will be fixed on Emile Heskey for 90 minutes tonight, but Melbourne Victory coach Ange Postecoglou warned his players of falling into the same trap.
After a sluggish debut, the Newcastle Jets striker has scored twice and won a penalty in the past fortnight.
After the popularity of a camera tracking Sydney FC's Alessandro Del Piero and Western Sydney's Shinji Ono, one of Fox Sports' 15 cameras will track the former Liverpool and Leicester City striker at Hunter Stadium.
Postecoglou warned his players not to get sucked into their own version of "Heskey Cam".
"From what I've seen of the Jets in the first three games, they're far from a one-man team," he said yesterday.
"He's had a great impact straight away. He's a striker and he's scored a couple and seems to fit into the structure pretty well, so I guess it's been a positive for them.
"But anyone involved in football understands it's about the collective. Emile Heskey's a good player, but so is Craig Goodwin and Ryan Griffiths.
"For us, it is about tackling them as a collective rather than focusing on an individual. If we can go there and get something out of that game it will set us up well for the rest of the season."
Keeper Nathan Coe (wearing No.39) will make his debut 48 hours after signing, becoming Victory's third keeper in as many weeks.
The only other change will see Mauritian Jonathan Bru replace Gui Finkler (groin) with Leigh Broxham promoted to the bench.
While Tando Velaphi has been dropped after a solid outing against Adelaide United, Postecoglou said he should view the arrival of a capped Socceroo as a great opportunity.
"It doesn't mean anything for Tando's future," he said.
"There are many walks of life where job security is the No.1 thing, but as a sportsman or team, if you have aspirations, then job security is not what drives you.
"I reckon Tando would be pretty excited about having a guy working with him every day who's played for the Socceroos last year.
"Because I assume Tando and Lawrence Thomas have aspirations to be the best keepers they can be and hopefully get to that level."
The Jets are one of three clubs to have recorded two wins and they will make at least one change, with former Gold Coast right-back Josh Brillante likely to come in for Taylor Regan.
