Team captain Paul Bevan, our Drive presenter and a former beard-wearer of many years, has pulled the blokes together to take part in the annual charity initiative.
After much intense discussion about the team's name, including suggestions such as the "Mo Bros" and the "1233 Mo-sketeers", they settled on the catchy and patriotic "Movocastrians".
Members include Dan Cox from the newsroom, promo producer Grant Wolter, and producers Nick Gerber and Ben Millington. Both Dan and Ben sacrificed their beards to start with the required clean-shaven faces.
Paul also has plans to rope in station manager, Phil Ashley-Brown.
There's also an overall ABC Radio team, abc radio mo, in honour of the late Russell Stendell, head of technology and digital planning, who died of lung cancer earlier this year.
Movember supports a broad range of programs of research, education and awareness of men's health, in particular prostate cancer and mental health.
It's the world's largest men's health movement, and came from an idea that two mates in Melbourne came up with in 2003, when they challenged each other to grow a moustache for November.
Recruiting the support of 30 friends, they soon realised what a conversation starter a "mo" could be, and its power to raise awareness.
As the Mo Bros groom, trim and wax their way to moustache magnificence, they become walking, talking billboards prompting conversations around the often ignored issue of men's health.
This year, Movember will mark its tenth anniversary, with official campaigns in 21 countries.
Last year it raised more than $28 million in Australia, and $124 million globally.
The average life expectancy for men is five years less than women, and one in five will experience an anxiety disorder during their lifetime.
The male suicide rate is four times higher than that of women, and one in three will be diagnosed with cancer.
You can follow the progress of the ABC teams, Movocastrians and abc radio mo on their sites, and see which style of "mo" each member will choose as well as how much money they are raising.
Will they go pencil, walrus, handlebar? Watch this clean-shaven space.
