ICAC quest for the Terrigals truth - The Australian

UNTIL recently, one positive thing that could be said about the Labor government that operated in NSW between 1995 and last year was that it was clean.

Sure, during the period of increasing randomness that overtook the government during its final term of office, there was some fiddling with parliamentary entitlements, including by former resources minister Ian Macdonald, who was sacked by Kristina Keneally in 2010 after it was revealed he billed taxpayers for some of the cost of a private overseas trip. After the government fell, several of Macdonald's former colleagues were found by the Independent Commission Against Corruption to have claimed illegitimate casual staffing allowances.
