Jets ponder mid-pack ladder ranking - ABC Online

Updated December 13, 2012 09:26:13

Newcastle Jets coach Gary van Egmond says the team has squandered its strong start to the season and is in danger of slipping further down the ladder.

After 10 games the Jets are mid pack on the A-League ladder on 13 points, just three points from the last placed, Sydney FC.

Newcastle started the season well with four wins from six games, but have not won a game in the last four rounds.

Van Egmond says the team has talked about its position on ladder and needs to get results.

"We have to look at it positively, but also as a realist as well, to know that we're back in the pack after that early good start and we need to start getting results," he said.
