NATHAN TINKLER will move to pay "immediately" several million dollars in unpaid debts to the tax office after it yesterday made an application to wind up his Newcastle Knights NRL team and Newcastle Jets soccer club on the grounds they were insolvent.
The Australian Taxation Office (ATO) yesterday filed in the Federal Court if Sydney wind-up orders against both clubs and their parent company the Hunter Sports Group - controlled by Mr Tinkler - over unpaid debts of $2.7 million.
