Australian midfielder Tom Rogic has received the work permit he needed to finalise his move to Glasgow giants Celtic.
"The highly-rated youngster will now return to Australia to complete some final paperwork before returning to Glasgow and getting his Hoops career underway," the club said in a statement on its website.
Rogic is heading to Celtic on a four-and-a-half year contract having left thee A-League's Central Coast Mariners, with whom he scored five goals in 24 appearances.
He is thought to have cost Celtic around 400,000 pounds ($607,000) and was reported to have also attracted attention from Premier League clubs Fulham, Reading and Queens Park Rangers.
Rogic was Celtic's second signing of the January transfer window, after Israeli defender Rami Gerhson arrived on loan from Belgian outfit Standard Liege.
Meanwhile, coach Graham Arnold confirmed the club was expecting news within the next 24 hours after Ibini reportedly scored two goals and helped set up another during a youth team trial match on Saturday night.
"From what I understand, Bernie did exceptionally on Saturday night so the ball is now in Club Brugge's court," Arnold said. "It's all up to them. We agreed a transfer amount before Bernie left last week for the trial.
"If Brugge like what they see, they can say 'Yes, we want him', the transfer amount will be activated and the kid will be off to Belgium dependent on his own personal terms."
The 20-year-old, who scored 11 goals in 49 games for the Central Coast after making his debut in the 2010-11 season, is expected back in Sydney tonight and will train with the Mariners. Arnold expects him to play against Adelaide United at Bluetongue Stadium on Friday night.
