SYDNEY'S Summer Playground in Hyde Park comes alive with loads of fun for the young at heart.
Hyde Park Stage
The stage is the best place to soak up the family fun atmosphere with the first ever free performance of the new line-up of The Wiggles at 3pm. Dorothy the Dinosaur Show will be on stage at 11am. Jimmy Giggle will MC the proceedings throughout the day

Other activities include:
Animal Farm (9am- 4pm): Children will have the chance to touch, feed and play with cute furry friends in the Animal Farm. Scales and snouts will come close to skin and little noses as live lizards, turtles, snakes and crocodiles experience an Australia Day in the city. Shows will be at 11am, 1pm and 3pm.
Thank You Australia Photo Booth (9am-4pm): Meet Kate Ritchie between 9.50am and 10.20am at the Thank You Australia Photo Booth. You can have your photo taken and then leave your message of thanks.
City, Harbour, The Rocks
Ferrython, Fort Denison around Shark Island and back to the Harbour Bridge (11am-12pm)
Cheer as the ferries race for line honours under the Harbour Bridge.
Oz Day 10km Wheelchair Race
(9am-10am)
The best vantage points to see the world's best wheelchair athletes are Alfred St at Circular Quay or George St at The Rocks.
Harbour Concerts, Athol Bay (1pm) and Blues Point (3pm)
Renowned indigenous artist Jessica Mauboy will perform on and off the water. The floating stage will stop off at Athol Bay for a performance for the boating public and at Blues Point Reserve for those along the foreshore.
Harbour Song Stage, Dawes Point Park (4pm-8pm)
The twilight concert under the Bridge in Dawes Point Park features Australian artists including emotive singer/songwriter Gurrumul and blues and roots musician Ash Grunwald.
Darling Harbour
MS Colour Run, Tumbalong Park (9am-noon)
The first ever MS Colour Run is a 5km walk or run supporting Aussies living with multiple sclerosis.
Australia Day Spectacular, Cockle Bay (7pm-9pm)
Grab a spot by the bay for an evening of entertainment in the lead-up to the breathtaking Australia Day fireworks, including boat parades, tall ships and our harbour heroes.
Outside CBD
Blacktown (4pm-6pm)
Free Australia Day concert featuring Ross Wilson, Johnny Ruffo, Mike Champion, Cold Chisel Show, AC/DC Thunderstruck Show and Living Chair at the Rooty Hill RSL.
Campbelltown (4pm-9.30pm)
Celebrate a range of free activities including entertainment, rides and fireworks at Koshigaya Park.
Gosford (From 8am)
The action kicks off at 8am on the waterfront with a service and blessing, then heat one of the inaugural Gosford's Got Talent competition, with heats continuing throughout the day.
Liverpool (4pm 9pm)
Entertainment including Australian Bush Band, fireworks, carnival rides, kids' activities, magic show and a thong throwing competition at Woodward Park.
Newcastle (10.30am-4pm)
Displays and exhibits including Maritime Services, Customs and Border Protection, Hunter Dragon Boats, Newcastle Kayaks, Maritime Museum sale stall and California Crusi'n Show and Shine.
Parramatta Park (From 6am)
Balloon ascension carnivale at Parramatta Park followed by breakfast and roving performers. From noon, workshops, entertainment, amusements (face painting, spray tattoos, bungy jump). From 6pm, the concert starts featuring Jay Katz and Rock 'n' Soul choir and YouAmI.
Sydney Olympic Park (2pm-6pm)
Sheep dog trials, sheep shearing and whip cracking, animal farm and Australian Heritage Dancers.
Wollongong
At Lang Park throughout the day there will be stage entertainment, wood chopping demonstrations, amusement rides until 8pm and a wide variety of food stalls.
