WonderBhoy Rogic off to Celtic - The Australian

TOM Rogic could have the football world at his feet after it was confirmed Celtic has agreed to terms to sign the kid the Scottish media has already labelled the "Australian WonderBhoy".

The news comes amid reports Celtic is also showing an interest in Melbourne Victory young gun Marcos Rojas. Reports in Scotland suggest Rojas, one of the form players of the A-League, could be a target for the club next season.

The Kiwi has reportedly knocked back several offers to focus on finishing the season with Victory, but will certainly be lost to the national competition next season.

Central Coast Mariners and Socceroos attacking midfielder Rogic is expected in Glasgow in the next day or two to discuss personal terms following the news Celtic, also known as the Bhoys, tabled a $750,000 offer late on Tuesday night -- a deal the cash-strapped Mariners jumped at.

It is understood Rogic, 20, will command as much as $700,000 a season as he attempts to follow the same pathway as former Socceroo Mark Viduka, who joined Celtic on a $500,000 transfer before eventually moving to the English Premier League, where he played for Leeds United, Middlesbrough and Newcastle United.

While Scottish football is seen as second rate by some, the move to Celtic is a key moment in Rogic's career and is likely to be a great stepping stone to better things.

Celtic is a short-priced favourite to win the Scottish Premier League and has reached the knockout stage of the Champions League, which means Rogic will not only have the chance to win a championship medal but could play against Italian champion Juventus next month.

Meanwhile, Western Sydney midfield magician Youssouf Hersi says he has more tricks up his sleeve to keep fans mesmerised.

The Dutch import has impressed the growing legion of Wanderers' faithful with his fluid football this season.

The 30-year-old has played for 10 clubs in the past 12 years, including Dutch teams Ajax Amsterdam and FC Twente.

"I'm just enjoying playing so much with all the other players and I'm enjoying being here at Western Sydney. I'm having fun," Hersi said. "Sometimes I want to do something to give something to the public and the supporters.

"They want to come to see something special. So I always want to do something special to make the supporters wake up and say 'Wow that's nice'.

"I have a lot more (tricks) but it's a surprise."
