Son Moses drags Eddie Obeid into the mire - The Australian

EDDIE Obeid was routinely involved in business decisions taken by his five sons, it was revealed yesterday, implicating the former MP for the first time in claims the family manipulated coal exploration licences to gain hundreds of millions of dollars.

The revelation came in private testimony provided to the Independent Commission Against Corruption in 2011 by Moses Obeid, the third son of the former NSW Labor MP and the key player in business decisions taken by the family, which has been shown to operate as a single economic unit. Asked in a private hearing to elaborate on Eddie Obeid's role in family affairs, Moses Obeid said: "He is regarded as the leader of the family."
