Arsenal and Newcastle could prise away prolific forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from St Etienne for a fee of £10million.

He has already scored 16 times in Ligue 1 this season in just 23 appearances, and has caught the eye of other top clubs in Europe, including Borussia Dortmund, Fiorentina and free-spending PSG.

According to Talksport, the Gabon striker, whose main assets are his pace and power, is not actively looking for a move but is sure that St Etienne would have to consider any big-money offer.

The 23-year-old said:'If people are talking about me then I am not aware of it. But if someone offers £10million to the club I do not know if I’ll go or not.

'I am calm because I still have two years on my contract to go.'

Arsenal may again look to bring in a striker in the summer as Olivier Giroud has failed to hit the heights Arsene Wenger has hoped for.

As for Newcastle, the departure of Demba Ba has left Alan Pardew light on options in attack, with extra pressure being put on the shoulders of Papiss Cisse.
