NEWCASTLE trio Nick Foster, Jeff Goninan and Greg Hunter are among six new faces in the NSW Country cricket side named Tuesday to contest the Australian Country Championship in Canberra next month.

Merewether veteran Simon Moore, who is NSW Country’s most capped player with 66 games and was awarded life membership in August, and captain Mark Littlewood (Belmont) complete the Newcastle contingent.

Experienced off-spinner Foster, from Stockton, has been a regular in the Newcastle but a injury has previously cruelled his Bush Blues aspirations.

Hunt, a former Australian under-19 captain joined Toronto this season after 10 years at St George, made 70 against North Coast in the first round and backed up with a crucial 45 in the final.
