As Facilitator of the local School's as Community Centre (SaAS), Roselea runs early intervention programs with parents and children to lift school attendance rates.
Passionate about the community, she is also president of local Minimbah Aboriginal Education Consultative Group and a founding member of The Windale Interagency & Community Alliance.
Roselea's great grandmother hailed from the Hunter town of Dungog. Her grandfather Frederick William Stow is on the WW1 Indigenous honour roll.
Committed to a life-long journey of education, Roselea Newburn say's she's closer to 60 than 50 and has never been happier.
