It's not unusual for actors to try their hand at directing or for models to try their hand at photography.
Michelle finds her models through Instagram and among her friends around Newcastle and Sydney, her photos have appeared in a number of national fashion magazines.
Michelle has also used her contacts to help get some of the models she regularly photographs an agent.
She is planning to showcase her work in the US later this year.
