Steven grew up in Newcastle and went to school in Lambton.
He runs a business that provides training and cultural programs for indigenous and non-indigenous people. It helps bring employers and employees together to achieve their goals.
Steven has three children. His eldest son James is a keen actor and has appeared in Redfern Now and various productions by the Sydney Theatre Company.
In 2014 he's taken on a new role, as Chief Executive Officer of the Awabakal Local Aboriginal Land Council.
