Discussions will take place in Newcastle over the next two days with people involved in the NDIS trial.
Since the beginning of the trial last July, concerns have been raised about the future closure of the Stockton residential centre.
Kathy Webb NDIS manager for Lifestyle Solutions on 1233 this morning told Jill Emberson, "We are going to talk through the practicalities to make this system as functional as possible."
Katherine Marnie a member of the Community Disability Alliance has been attending the meetings and spoke from town hall. She is concerned that all people with disabilities "should have the lives they deserve to have."
Katherine also wants people to stay positive, "I encourage people to be positive that we have the chance to be part of the creation of this new scheme."
NDIS Committee chairman, Mal Brough wants to hear from people involved in the scheme "tell us exactly what's happened - whether they be an agency providing a service or whether it's a recipient, as in a person living with a disability, or one of their family members," he said.
