Newcastle Knights coach Wayne Bennett says it is likely captain Kurt Gidley will miss this weekend's game with Canberra.
Gidley was a late withdrawal from last night's 34-points-to-6 win over the Cowboys due to a calf injury.
Centre Timana Tahu was also ruled out along with Willie Mason.
Bennett says despite the injuries he was impressed with the team's performance and is hopeful several players will be back for Sunday's home game against the Raiders.
"Probably Timana and Willie and Kurt might be a chance but I'd probably say Kurt no at this stage," he said.
"We lost Beau Scott after about 15 to 20 minutes, he's huge player to what we do and he has aggravated his groin.
"But we didn't miss a beat, so they were huge impacts on the team, but nobody was looking over their shoulder.
"They had a job to do and they went out and did that job."
Bennett says while he was impressed with halves Tyrone Roberts and Jarrod Mullen, the forward pack was outstanding.
"Their go-forward they laid the platform all night, Jarrod came into his own with his kicking game and Tyrone came into his own with his organisation and running game and they were wonderful.
"But that momentum was built off what the forwards were doing and they were tackling hard our forwards.
"You never saw Thurston all night and he's the best player in the game virtually now.
"You never saw Bowen all night because we were dominating the field position, we were dominating the tough areas of the game and they couldn't get out of second gear."
