Celtic goalkeeper Fraser Forster has revealed his desire to return to Newcastle United according to The Daily Mail.

The 25 year old goalkeeper spent much of his younger days at the club before joining the Scottish giants for £2.5 million last summer.

But the goalkeeper has revealed he is hopeful of one day returning to his boyhood club.

Forster revealed that he is a Newcastle fan and believed he has unfinished business at St. James’ Park.

The player stated that it was a difficult decision to decide to leave Newcastle but insisted he was forced into leaving by his desire for first team football.

Forster went on to express his belief that everybody wants to be playing in the Premier League.

The goalkeeper revealed he is enjoying life at Celtic at the moment and is especially enjoying playing Champions League football but he retains the long term target of returning to the English top flight.

Forster has recently found himself in Roy Hodgon’s England squads and he is hopeful of booking his place in the international fold for next summer’s World Cup finals tournament in Brazil.

The stopper revealed he will be doing everything he can to ensure he remains in Roy Hodgson’s thoughts come next summer.
