Hatem Ben Arfa: Newcastle will be a force next season - The Sun

HATEM BEN ARFA has promised Newcastle will be a force to be reckoned with next term.

Toon have had a disastrous campaign and only avoided relegation with victory at QPR last weekend.

Boss Alan Pardew will have to explain just what has gone wrong when he meets owner Mike Ashley and managing director Derek Llambias following Sunday’s final game with Arsenal.

Pardew is expected to be given the chance to turn his side's fortunes around.

And Ben Arfa, 26, is backing Newcastle to be much more like the team that finished fifth last season when the Premier League resumes in August.

The Frenchman said: “When you look at the individual players we already have, there are some fantastic talented players on that list.

“This season, we haven’t been able to play together a lot. We have had a few injuries.

“A few new players also came in during January and needed some time.

“But when we are all together next season, we can really do well.

“Then, we can go again and I think we can have a season like we did last season. Of that, I’m sure.

“I think we’re going to be very, very high in the table.”
