SEDUCTIVE lingerie and risque dresses took centre stage on the catwalk at the North East’s fashion extravaganza.

Hundreds turned out for Wearing Your Sunday Best last night, the latest part of NE1’s Newcastle Fashion Week.

The sultry event, held at the Old Post Office, in Newcastle’s Pink Lane, was a catwalk fused with a photo-shoot and saw The House of Seduction showcasing their latest lingerie and swimwear ‘vintage style’.

ND Make-up styled the models’ hair and make-up with a ’40s classic edge, and Pearman Photography brought innovation to the event by producing a fashion photo-shoot with a twist.

The audience were also entertained with a DJ set, and era-inspired music band Scarlet Street.

Earlier in the day, two reality TV stars took to the stage to host the catwalks at Northumbria University.

Ollie Locke, from E4’s Made in Chelsea, and Lauren Pope, from ITV2’s The Only Way is Essex, hosted the second day of Fashion Week.

The two TV stars hosted the catwalks yesterday, with the former Clothes Show presenter and ID editor Caryn Franklin hosting on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Company magazine editor Victoria White joined a panel of experts for an industry talk on taking the first step on the fashion ladder.

Today, as part of Fashion Week, Van Mildert will be selling off designer good from just £10 at the first ever fashion sample sale at the Fat Buddha restaurant on the Swan House Roundabout. Sample sales are a way for the fashion industry to dispose of excess designer stock at a fraction the price and are common in London, New York and Milan. However, this is the first time that Newcastle has hosted one.

Claire Lake, of Van Mildert, said: “We’re excited to host our first sample sale as part of Newcastle Fashion Week and looking forward to seeing the queues lining up outside, for all the designer treats we have to offer.

“Not only will guests enjoy a lunch time of shopping, if they’ve purchased a VIP ticket then they’ll be able to watch an exclusive Van Mildert catwalk show, showcasing spring/summer 2013 collections from top designers including Vivienne Westwood, Armani Jeans, Stone Island, Ralph Lauren and many more.”

To book tickets, ring the restaurant on 0191 261 1066.
