STAT-ATTACK

Head-to-head

Newcastle have not lost to QPR in their past seven meetings. The last time The Hoops beat the Magpies was a 3-0 Premier League victory at Loftus Road in February 1995.

Of four Premier League meetings between the teams at Loftus Road, Newcastle have won twice and QPR once. Their last match at Loftus Road was a 0-0 draw in September 2011.

The clubs played out a dramatic 5-5 top-flight draw at Loftus Road on 22 September 1984. Jack Charlton was the Newcastle manager at the time.

QPR

QPR have the worst home record in the Premier League, winning just two games on their own ground all season. They have also drawn eight and lost eight. At this stage last season, they had the 12th best home record in the Premier League.

The Hoops have failed to score in their last four Premier League matches. They last went four top-flight games without a goal from August to September 1989, under Trevor Francis.

QPR have failed to score 15 times this season, which is the joint worst record with Swansea and Stoke.

The club have only won four Premier League matches all season.

Newcastle

The Magpies have the third-worst away record in the Premier League. At this stage last season, they had the fifth-best away record in the Premier League.

Newcastle have won away from home only once this season. They have never won less than two away Premier League matches in a season (they won two in 2003-04 and 2008-09).

Last weekend against West Ham, Newcastle kept only their second away clean-sheet of the season in the league – the other was in a 0-0 draw at Norwich on 12 January.
