Meet the Mob: Leah Armstrong - ABC Local

As Chief Executive Officer of Reconciliation Australia Leah spends most of her time in hotel rooms around the country, engaging with business and government to set up Reconciliation Action Plans (RAPs).

Business, she says, is leading the way on turning these RAPs into actions that actually reduce prejudice between black and white Australia. The results are tangible.

In 2009 Leah was recognised as a "True Leader" by the Australian Financial Review Boss Magazine and in 2012 she was named in the Australian Financial Review/Westpac's Top 100 Influential Women.

Despite the accolades, Leah Armstrong is a quiet achiever. She likes to spend time at home cooking for the kids and kicking back with her hubby around the beach.

Hosted by Jill Emberson, Mornings presenter on 1233 ABC Newcastle, Meet the Mob is a weekly profile of Aboriginal people in the Hunter region of New South Wales.
