A bit of horse play: A proud Bud with his haul of Paolo mints (Picture: Twitter)Sunderland fans have taken poor police horse Bud under their wing and named him an honorary Black Cat (he’s still a horse in my eyes).
Bud was attacked by a Newcastle fan in the city centre following the Tyne & Wear derby earlier this month, which Sunderland won 3-0.
Flashpoint: Bud the horse is attacked following the derby (Picture: ITV)The match was new Black Cats boss Paolo Di Canio’s home debut at the Stadium of Light and on that theme, Sunderland fans have sent Bud some ‘Paolo mints’ as they mocked their arch-rivals’ supporters.
